Fine Artist, Painter

Scarlet Mayer-Payne is a mixed media artist who works predominantly in Oil Paint and Graphite. She lives and works in Manchester as both a freelance community artist and an Art Technician in a local high school. 

From her background studying Fine Art at Aberystwyth University, her practice has developed from her usual abstract style and has evolved from fluid mark making into something more ‘figurative’ and political in nature.

Currently, her work ranges from large scale paintings of personal discourse to small observational graphite drawings. Whilst her current paintings aren’t directly abstract they offer an abstract ambiguity that allows her to create without limitation.
